Restaurants serve a wide variety of local, North American and European foods, resort promise water sports, or relaxation.
Specific to our islands is the Junkanoo, the quintessential celebration of the Turks and Caicos islands, a street parade of masquerades of colorful costumes, goatskin drums, jangling cowbells, raucous, shak-shak and other rhythm instruments. Junkanoo is one of the few examples of the Turks and Caicos culture.
Glow worms, once a month, a few days after the full moon - a mesmerizing phenomenon occurs. After a sunset sail, we take you to watch the glow worm mating ritual while sipping on rum punch and eating island conch fritters. It is an amazing site that has to be seen to be believed, and gives new meaning to having your partner light up your life.
The Green Flash is when you have just had a full day of diving; you're sitting with some new friends on the hotel terrace, having a drink and watching the sun sink into the Caribbean, when one of them says, 'Wonder if we'll see the green flash tonight?' You don't know what he's talking about, but you play along and like everyone else you stare at the sun until it's gone. There was no flash, and you think you've been had. Well, you haven't. There is a green flash, but you have to be very lucky to see it.
